Confession.
I am nosy. If your planner were sprawled out before us, I would have to concentrate very hard not to peek at it. Not to know what you're up to but more to look at your handwriting, if you decorate your planner and what kind of information you keep in your planner.
I've been using my Erin Condren Life Planner for about six months and it's been my constant companion since. Funny, I'm still trying to figure out how to make the best use of it for my life and schedule.
One thing Erin has taught me is that I have a very calm and predictable life. Even my adventures are planned and calculated. I love this about my life. On the other hand, I have a strong yearning to do more.
I usually plan my week on Sunday afternoons. I use washi tape to block off chunks of time where I am unavailable and write in my appointments and known items to place on my to do list.
The top two pictures are what my pre-week looks like. I fill in information as the week progresses and at every opportunity, I use an appropriate sticker.
The bottom two pictures are a small collection of my Etsy purchased stickers that I use regularly.
Some of my favorite etsy stores to purchase stickers:My level of out of control when it comes to stickers is a ten out of ten. To help curb my sticker addiction, I purchased a Cricut Machine. I plan on posting it here but right now I'm too intimidated by it to even take it out of the box. Once I get over that little hurdle, I vow to be a sticker making maniac. Stickers for everyone!

My friend Julie pointed me in the direction of the indie polish maker Cult Nails when they were having an amazing sale a few weeks ago. Unlike some of my favorite friends, I've never been drawn to indie polishes.
But a good sale --that's another story altogether.
When I ordered, the polishes were 60% off with $5 flat rate shipping. After the discount, each bottle was $4.80.
My two favorites (enticing and grunge):
For some reason I thought Cult Nails was going out of business but the website states they will be open on January 25.
There's a strong possibility that I'm a new follower of indie nail polishes.
WHAT I MELTED YESTERDAY:
Upstairs:

Downstairs:

to repurchase from the day before:
{Beezy - cake bake} {Tiffany Candles - november rain w/ lavender milk}
I hope you have a great weekend! I'll be back on Monday with a Glitterati Sampler haul <3

I love the store name One Orange Snowflake. How cute is that? I started with a cute planner, neat handwriting and ideas of tracking everything. Now I have careless hasty scribbles of appointments and things to do. I want to fix that. I love your layout and overall look. Fire up the Cricut lady!!!
ReplyDeleteI loveEntice too. I wear it when my nails are long and looking good. Her polishes are so shiny (except the waxy vinyl finish) that a top coat can be skipped. Glad to hear she is maybe coming back. I will have to read her blog and see what is going on.
Have a good weekend Sunnee.
Can't wait for your Cricut post! I've always been curious about them but don't know what I'd ever use it for since all my attempts at paper crafts fail before they begin.
ReplyDeleteI thought Cult Nails was closing too. I mean, I'm not a polish follower at all but that's what I thought I'd gotten out of that conversation too. *shrug*

I love your planner, as well as the way you keep it both neat and adorable! I kept a paper planner for many, many years -- from high school until I was in my 30s. That's when I switched to electronic calendars. I think I may start using a paper one again, though -- it's so much more fun.
ReplyDeleteI love those polishes, too! Now I have to check them out. :D
Love planner posts! Yours is always so fun and organized. I love your handwriting. Cute stickers, I really love them. I cannot wait to see what you make with your machine! One Orange Snowflake is awesome!
ReplyDeleteCult Nails, what a sale! So wait, they AREN'T closing?! Maybe they will restock that green that flew out of my cart!
@Julie - I look forward to sharing the stickers with my waxy friends the most.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting the info on Cult Nails --without you, I wouldn't have these great polishes!
@Deb - I just read on Julie's Cult post that they're just reopening to sell off remaining polishes. I still love the purple shimmery polish you sent me and wear it often!
@futurowoman - Don't you love looking through old planners? I tried for the longest time to go completely digital. It doesn't have the same sentimental feel for me.
@Lauren - Thank you! Did you know that people actually practice their handwriting --I mean adults. Pro planner people. Once I started following them on Igram, I was amazed at their discipline. But their handwriting is immaculate!
Go check out Cult Nails --maybe your polish is still there! <3
Holy moly.. I've been ignoring my first and favorite blog for too long!
ReplyDeleteI love that you are nosy, like myself :) I say it's more of a curiosity. One reason I dislike sending anyone a handwritten note.. it's because my handwriting is rushed and not pretty :/ It embarrasses me.. and like yourself, I love to see friends handwriting.
You're sticker obsession is too cute, Sunnee :)
Dagnamit... why doesn't blogger let us edit out posts?! "you're".. really, Lynda? lol
