When I was in high school, stupid boys would use a phrase when gawking at girls that was equally obnoxious as it was catchy.
she's got it goin' on. but the on was pronounced more like AWN. Followed by a tsk noise make from a side cheek and some serious head shaking and the occasional eyeball rolling to the back of the head.
I was prepping this particular S&S post in my mind, thinking about what I would say about one of my favorite vendors and all I kept hearing was:
Sugar & Spice has got it goin' AWN.
And so they do. Or Shanna, the owner does. Has it going on that is.
I placed an order of (4) one pound bags of wax back in October. As with all of Sugar & Spice's orders, the TAT was ridiculously fast. This particular order wasn't quite ready to go next day but easily within a few days.
The last time I ordered the melt crumbles, they were cut in bigger chunks. If I had to choose one or the other, I prefer the bigger pieces. My order consisted of three custom blends and one house blend:
{2} hot orange danish and cinnamon vanilla frosting - I don't normally like cinnamon but this is SO GOOD.
{3} eggnog and marshmallow sugar cookie - the eggnog is really present in this blend and it's a nice combination of creamy/sweet and spicy eggnog. The spice reminds me of chai.
{4} thanksgiving - a very heavy and yummy bakery blend.
Just as I was about to hit Publish on this post, I did a quick check on Sugar and Spice's facebook page only to learn that they are closing down for the rest of the year. I still contend that they run a very efficient ship with lots of great scents to choose from and when open (closing are very rare), an excellent turn around time.
Without a doubt I will be keeping Sugar and Spice Gourmet Soy on my list to order from for a very long time.

She DOES got it goin' on! This post reminded me of that and I am putting her on my 2015 To Order From list. Great scents! I agree. I like the cubic looking thick brittle better too. Easier to grab one and go rather than a handful of pieces. Digging around, getting wax under the nails.

ReplyDeleteThe Backstreet Boys have a song called "We've Got It Goin' On," but it was always pronounced AWN. With the appropriate head jiggle. Whoa, goin' awn? I totes remember that. Good times! And now there's a new phrase that is annoying. TOTES. UGH. WHY AM I DOING THAT??? SMACK ME!
